best and less messiest way to do epoxy on an abr quarry would be to coat it with a thin layer of parrafin wax, then epoxy grout it without worrying about staining. then you just need a high heat pressure washer to clean off the wax.. bad thing is the steps take longer but its so eay to do. so if your on the job doing other work that's good.

I brought back some beautiful old quarry tiles once with carnauba wax and a lot of elbow grease, but the color variations in the tiles themselves remained, only they were deeper and richer looking.
